Upon discovering a soda label attached to the back of Amelia's leg, it was at the end of an epic surf session in Southern Sri Lanka that now business partners Amelia Ufford and Wes Baker first dreamt up the concept of debrand. Over the next 3.5 years debrand would grow from a widespread concept to a niche salable service. debrand specializes in the secure and responsible disposal of brand or security sensitive waste. With a current focus on textile waste solutions debrand has helped clients divert over 75,000 lbs from local landfills in the past four months alone. As a true industry pioneer debrand is also working to modernize federal recycling regulations, increase tax incentives and prepare clients for extended producer responsibility. debrand's offices are close to public transport, offer showers for bike communters and share office space with other green businesses.
